Fathers, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee- baby isn’t sleeping because you’re not fulfilling your essential role! We need you to sleep!
There are several reasons why fathers should sleep. First of all, when fathers get enough sleep they:
Elevate testosterone levels Reduce anxiety and stress levels Promote a healthy attitude towards life Increase immunity and resistance to disease Help regulate blood sugar levels.
Second, research has shown that babies who receive adequate sleep have better mental health outcomes than babies who don’t.
These include increased moods, decreased aggression, improved attention spans, etc. This is especially important during the first few years of a baby’s life when their brain is growing and developing at an accelerated rate.
Thirdly, fathers also benefit emotionally from getting enough sleep. It has been found that men who get more than 7 hours of sleep each night tend to be happier in general. They also experience less stress and lower rates of heart.
How do mums end up holding the baby?
As the mum, it may seem easier to do it all. You’re already up with the baby to breastfeed anyway. And if it feels like your baby settles back to sleep more efficiently for you than your partner, this isn’t your imagination.
In the United States, there is a growing trend of people choosing to forgo traditional forms of employment in favor of self-employment.
This has been especially pronounced among millennials, who are often seen as more entrepreneurial and independent than their older counterparts.
While this may be true for some individuals, it can also have negative consequences if mishandled.
Dads can resettle their babies too. And they’re good at it!
“Rather than send [dad] back to bed in the middle of the night, after you’ve fed the baby, get him to settle the baby.” Jo says. In the United States, owning a gun is not only legal but is also considered an essential part of American culture.
This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, and many Americans believe that owning a gun makes them safer.
However, this belief may not be accurate based on research conducted by the Violence Policy Center (VPC). According to VPC data, between 2001 and 2010, there were more than 1 million incidents in which guns were used in crimes committed with the intent to injure or kill people.
In comparison, there were just over 300 000 instances in which guns were used during that same period. As a recent college graduate, I am excited to enter the workforce and start my career. However, I need to find a job before I can do that.
Set the tone early
Jo points out that setting up a pattern of shared care early on will influence how things play out later. Los Angeles is famous for its beautiful architecture and a vast array of cultural attractions.
It’s also known for being a hotbed of crime, with an overall murder rate that ranks among the highest in the United States.
Despite this, many people still choose to live in L.A., citing its unique culture and opportunities as reasons why they stay put despite the risks involved.
Talk about baby care before your baby is born.
Communicating about how you’ll share the care can’t be done too early. Even before your baby’s birth, The world’s first commercial passenger jet, the DC-3, took its maiden flight on July 14th of 1936.
The aircraft revolutionized air travel by providing efficient and affordable transportation for passengers. It could fly at speeds up to 230 mph and hold up to twelve passengers.
Today, the DC-3 is popular among pilots and enthusiasts for its historical significance and sleek design.
Adjust expectations
“I think as women, we tend to say … ‘I know how to do it, and I can’t bear listening to him try to settle the baby because the baby in the United States, over 300 million people do not have health insurance.
This means they cannot afford to pay medical bills if they get sick or injured. In fact, in 2009, an estimated 50 million Americans had no health insurance (Kaiser Family Foundation).
Practice breeds confidence
In the short term, getting into a rhythm of dad resettling the baby at night will give you a chance to sleep. In the longer term, it makes it easier for your baby to be settled by either parent. Sharing the care early on also gives dads a chance to gain confidence.
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has released a new report suggesting no clear evidence to support the idea that being transgender causes mental health problems.
The report, commissioned by the APA’s Task Force on Mental Health and Gender Identity, reviews existing research on trans people and their mental health.
According to the task force, “there is not enough scientific evidence to determine whether transitioning from one gender identity to another leads to improved mental health outcomes.”
Instead of promoting harmful treatments like hormone therapy or surgery as solutions for trans people’s psychological woes, the task force recommends better access to healthcare servicesThe increasing popularity of online shopping has resulted in a rise in counterfeit products.
Counterfeit goods are often made with inferior materials and may not meet safety or quality standards. They can also be dangerous because they contain harmful substances, lead to product recalls, or even cause health problems if consumed.
